"Abundance" Giclee Print from "Spirits Within Series

The perspective of a naturalist combines with a love of fantasy in this ready to frame gicle‏‏e print. Prints are made by giclee experts using the finest quality materials; including heavy, acid free paper, and archival ink. The original graphite drawing is 12 x 20 inches, full size prints are available as a limited edition of 50 prints, each is hand signed and numbered. The fantasy drawing is also available in a smaller sized print, it is 65% of the original size and measures 7 ¾ x 13 inches, the reduced size print is signed, but is not a limited edition. Both mystical images have a wide boarder for matting and framing. The giclee prints are protected by a Krystal Seal archival bag and sent in a mailing tube."Abundance" is part of the “Spirits Within Series” the start of the series was inspired by a maple tree with an unusual curving section of bark that I saw on one of my many walks taken in the gardens, forests and parks of my hometown. In this graphite drawing a pear tree with it's symbolism of fertility was the starting point. While spending time in nature I often feel awed by the splendor granted in the natural world, feeling a presence amidst the growth that surrounds me. Spending time in woodlands inspires images of mystical beings that are hidden there if only our minds could see. In this series of drawings, I attempt to portray the manifestation of the spirits found within the trees of the forest. I approach my work from the viewpoint of a naturalist, combining it with the realm of fantasy. I compose my drawings with great attention to the detail of the natural world, all the while overlaying realistic figures of mystical beings. The “Spirits Within Series” is still in the process of having more images added to it, with each graphite drawing requiring an average of 100 hours to complete.
