Three magnificent dragons take flight in this stunning piece of sterling silver fantasy jewelry. The concept of the dragon necklace features three dimensional sculptures and an unique front clasp subtly incorporated into the design of the neckpiece; the result is a dragon trio statement necklace that seem to float around the wearer’s neck, an artisan’s creation that is sure to draw the eye of all who see it. Each of the dragons has a unique personality; the central dragon is the leader of the group, very knightly in nature. The dragon to the right is the lady of the group, the intelligent planner. The guy on the left is rather a class clown, a comedian, but with surprising bravery and insight when needed. Together these dragons are a trio to be reckoned with; with them at your side (or around your neck) you’ll be ready for anything that comes your way.  

I started by creating the e dragon bib necklace as a detailed pencil drawing, refining my idea and layout the design of the piece of fantasy jewelry. I then begin to sculpt everything in wax, first by addressing the overall composition, then proportion and musculature of the individual characters, lastly overlaying all of it with detailing. This was a very time and labor intensive process; including facial expressions and applying the scales of the dragons’ one at a time. When sculpting was complete it was cast using the lost wax method in sterling silver. A patina was applied in two parts to give some areas a darker finish than others, providing for contrast and interest. This was followed by hand polishing and an application of Renaissance Wax to protect the finish and guard against tarnish. The dragons of the fantasy jewelry necklace measure 4 ½ inches across, from tail to tail on the two outside dragons. The central dragon is 2 inches tall from the top of his head to the tip of his tail. The dragon necklace is available in 16”, 17” or 18” lengths, however if you would like one customized to a specific length please contact me and I should be able to accommodate you.

This dragon trio fantasy necklace is absolutely gorgeous and well worth the price. The detail on the dragons is amazing, right down to the expression on their faces, giving each one its own unique personality. Also, the amount of sterling silver used to create the dragons is substantial and each is very dimensional. The oxidation is well done and definitely adds to the character of the dragons and the overall beauty of this wearable work of art. This is a necklace Khaleesi would be proud to wear--and a necklace I feel very fortunate to own! I'd also like to add that the owner and artist of Mysticswan is wonderful. She responded quickly to my questions and was wonderful to deal with. The necklace arrived promptly and was carefully beautifully packaged. I highly recommend her jewelry and her shop.

This is just so perfect! It really is a work of art; the dragons are such characters and so beautifully crafted and finished. I love it so much. I never thought I'd spend so much money on a piece of jewellery but this really is something to treasure for a lifetime.
